We are a Japanese restaurant located in the heart of Amsterdam in the bustling Zeedijk. Our ramen is the favourite of many locals and tourists alike. We are also known to have great canal views, a cosy atmosphere and very personable customer service.

With a family-like vibe, ours is a small team composed of many different nationalities. We communicate primarily in English.

We are looking to expand and open a new location in the near future so you can also count on growth opportunities.

Head Chef

We are looking for a dedicated and responsible person to be our next head chef. You will be working closely with the restaurant manager and one of the business owners/executive chef.

Your function will require:

  • Experience in the kitchen (min. 4 years);
  • Experience in a team lead position (ideally as a sous chef of higher, min 1 year);
  • High proficiency in English (Dutch and other languages are a plus);
  • Interest in Japanese cuisine and drinks;
  • Organisational, problem-solving and team-building skills;
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong work ethic, initiative, confidence and an outgoing demeanour;
  • Availability in the weekend and night time;
  • Ability to remain productive in a high pressure environment;
  • Strong attention to detail;

About the job position:

  • Full time contract 43h per week;
  • As a full timer we work 4 days and have 3 days off but this can be adjustable;
  • Salary range depending on experience and hourly load;
  • Nice tips (between €3 and €6 per hour);
  • 25 paid holiday days per calendar year;

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage all kitchen operations and staff;
  • Oversee all food preparation and presentation;
  • Daily orders;
  • Kitchen team schedules;
  • Train kitchen staff;
  • Maintain the kitchen equipment and cleanliness standards;
  • Ensure that all staff adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations;
  • Generating new ideas for menu items;

Head Chef
Restaurant Supervisor

We are looking for a dedicated and responsible person to be our next restaurant & bar supervisor. You will be working closely with the restaurant manager and two other supervisors.

Your function will require:

  • Experience in the hospitality sector (ideally min. 3 years);
  • Experience in a team lead position;
  • High proficiency in English (Dutch and other languages are a plus);
  • Interest in Japanese cuisine and drinks;
  • Organisational, problem-solving and team-building skills;
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong work ethic, initiative, confidence and an outgoing demeanour;
  • Natural enthusiasm and friendliness, excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed customer expectations;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Availability in the weekend and night time;
  • Handling reservations, guests’ queries and complaints and the daily mise en place;

About the job position:

  • Full time, with the possibility to do part-time;
  • As a full timer we work 4 days and have 3 days off but this can be adjustable;
  • Salary range depending on experience and hourly load;
  • Nice tips (between €3 and €6 per hour)
  • 25 holiday days per calendar year (if full time);

Restaurant Supervisor
Server

Are you passionate about creating memorable restaurant experiences? We’re always in the lookout for the best hospitality talents. 

Our restaurant is small but it gets pretty busy. We’re looking for someone who can work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude. 

Your function will require:

  • Experience in the hospitality sector is preferred but not mandatory;
  • High proficiency in English (Dutch and other languages are a plus);
  • Interest in Japanese cuisine and drinks;
  • Natural enthusiasm and friendliness;
  • Availability in the weekend and night time;
  • Your tasks will include learning the menu and make appropriate suggestions when requested, quickly bussing and setting up tables, serving food and beverages;

  • Part-time, full time upon discussion;
  • Salary range depending on experience;
  • Nice tips (between €3 and €6 per hour);
