We are a Japanese restaurant located in the heart of Amsterdam in the bustling Zeedijk. Our ramen is the favourite of many locals and tourists alike. We are also known to have great canal views, a cosy atmosphere and very personable customer service.
With a family-like vibe, ours is a small team composed of many different nationalities. We communicate primarily in English.

Head Chef
We are looking for a dedicated and responsible person to be our next sous-chef. You will be working closely with the head chef and one of the business owners/executive chef, and you will be the main responsible person in their absence.
Your function will require:
- Experience in the kitchen (min. 2 years);
- High proficiency in English (Dutch and other languages are a plus);
- Interest in Japanese cuisine and drinks;
- Organisational, problem-solving and team-building skills;
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong work ethic, initiative, confidence and an outgoing demeanour;
- Availability in the weekend and night time;
- Ability to remain productive in a high pressure environment;
- Strong attention to detail;
- You live in or near the Amsterdam area;
- You are eligible to work in the Netherlands;
About the job position:
- Full time contract
- As a full timer we work 4 days and have 3 days off but this can be adjustable;
- Salary range depending on experience and hourly load;
- Nice tips (between €3 and €6 per hour);

Responsibilities include:
- Manage all kitchen operations and staff in the absence of the head chef;
- Oversee all food preparation and presentation in the absence of the head chef;
- Daily orders;
- Help train kitchen staff;
- Maintain the kitchen equipment and cleanliness standards;
- Generating new ideas for menu items;
Kitchen Assistant
We are looking for a dedicated and responsible person to be our next Kitchen Assistant. You will be working closely with the Head Chef and Executive Chef.
